Thoughts from the past and new ones to be remembered..

A Little Backround Information

Jacob was born and raised in Middletown Connecticut. He attended Middletown High School in which he developed a strong love for illustrating. His High School art teacher was a big influence on him and she worked very close with Jacob, helping him refine his skills by sending him to outside art schools, many of them local colleges. He attended both Hartford Art School and Lyme Academy of Fine Arts for College level portfolio development and printmaking studies. During High School he recieved three prestigious  awards from the Statewide Scholastic Art and Writing awards. His freshman year he recieved a place award and his junior year he recieved a silver key along with another place award in printmaking. After High School Jacob went to Hamden Connecticut to attend Paier College of Art where he studied illustration and Graphic Design. Jacob can now be seen in the pages of Black Ink Horror Magazine and often works on commission pieces for bands and musical groups from all over the world.

It's been another year my friends and hopefully this year will bring much more success and fun filled projects. Black Ink Horror #1 is up for pre-order and will be out in February so make sure to hit them up at http://www.blackinkhorror.com  ..  They also have a forum up in which I urge everyone to check out specially if you are an artist or writer. http://www.blackinkhorror.proboards98.com  . If you guys have been reading my Deviant Art page you will know that I did a side project for Record One Studios. The project involved Gospel Music Artist Abigail Hernandez. Basically I did my first Cd layout for the studio and I want to thank them very much for letting me do the project. Also in the same blog I believe I stated that I was working with Tom Moran on another project entitled "Raw Meat" which is an anthology of short horror stories. My participation involved five illustrations that had to be done is such a short amount of time. Poor Tom had his sketch book stolen so a bunch of fellow DA members came to Tom's rescue to see that the book got done in time.  "Raw Meat"  is also up for Pre-order at Black ink horror.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been pretty swamped lately with a series that I've been working on. The new series is a collection of black and white pen and ink illustrations of classic horror movies.. The progress is coming along quite well and I should have those images posted very soon..

Made some new scans and updated the Artwork section. Also you'll notice that I took down a few pointless pages. Great news though I've been selected to work for two horror story magazines. One being Wicked Karnival and the other is Black Ink Horror. Make sure to check my links section for the websites.
